Treading cautiously between here nor there…

My sincere apologies for not posting for a while. I’ve been preoccupied with a couple of other projects that I hope will come to fruition shortly. One of which is transforming this blog and FINALLY setting up my own website.
Here’s a quick snap I took of a trespasser in our garden. He was lounging on top of our shed – a favourite spot of my dear cat – when I saw him.
He immediatly made a dash for safety to a neighbor’s shed. I managed to catch him mid-leap of faith.

I kind of wish I slowed down the shutter speed so the cat’s movement looked more exaggerated mid-air, but he was far too speedy for me!
Very rarely, you can tell exactly what an animal is thinking from their expression.
In this picture, I captured Mick from outside. It was raining heavily, and I didn’t want him to go traipsing outside only to immediately want to come back in with muddy paws!As cats do. So I quickly snapped his little face looking out onto the garden.
He’s not amused.
I used a directional “lighting effect” in Photoshop across Mick’s torso to place all focus on his expression
I recently collaborated with long-time friend and the creative force behind Ami-Lu; maker of beautiful bespoke headpieces.
We spent most of Saturday morning photographing her latest range in the gorgeous sunshine. Here’s a sneaky peak from the shoot.
I look forward to sharing the rest of the set with you soon!
